“free-for-all” checker day

Gary Wilson and Leon Creek continue to rejuvenate Kentucky checkers. They are planning to have a “free-for-all” checker day at the Lexington Senior Center on Friday, March 29th, 2013 ( 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), If you plan to attend, let Leon know by March 22nd. (map) We had a nice group of players attend our December session and hope it will grow into a good group of players who enjoy playing checkers and want to improve on their checker skills. We had our checker party in Lexington on Sunday,
3/31. Eight players attended. They were: A. Mays, G. Wilson, D. Brattin, L.
Creek, B. Woolum, J. Askins, T. Williamson, and B. Gullette. No one showed any
interest in reporting scores. We played whatever kind of checkers we wanted and
all seemed to have a good time. Our next meeting is scheduled tentatively for
Friday, June 14th, and of course you should call in advance and get last
minute info. Leon Creek.

Creek, Charles Woolum, and Ted Williamson. There were two women who helped with
the checker party. No one showed any
interest in reporting scores. We played whatever kind of checkers we wanted and
